Last week I spoke on a Goldman Sachs panel for entrepreneurs.
We talked about business growth, leadership, AI. Topics I’ve answered hundreds of times. The conversation was flowing. Everything felt very natural.
Then the moderator decided to end with something lighter:
“What’s your rapper name?”
The two other panelists answered instantly.
And me- someone who normally has no issue responding in front of a room-
just sat there blank.
I genuinely thought she’d ask a business question.
Rap music is totally outside my orbit.
So there I was, on a Goldman Sachs stage in front of a room full of entrepreneurs. Completely unprepared for the rapper portion of the evening.
P.S. I still don’t know what my answer would be.
