What does NASA do with dirty socks in space?

With summer (and kids) comes LOTS of laundry. And endless towels. Which got me thinking about how far people will go to avoid it. Turns out – pretty far.

NASA burns their dirty laundry. Instead of washing, astronauts pack 150 lbs. of clothes for each mission. Once worn, the clothes get launched and burned in Earth’s atmosphere.

(Note to self: Try this next time my laundry room gets overloaded.)

Back here on Earth, we keep tossing in loads, grabbing the detergent we trust will get the job done. Most of us don’t even think twice.

My laundry room… during those fleeting moments after the cleaning lady has finished.

Which detergent do YOU gravitate towards?

🧡 Tide?

💚 Gain?

They sit side by side in the store.

Made by the same company.

But with very different vibes.

Tide = strength and power

Gain = joy and scent

One feels bold and reliable.

The other smells like summer and happiness.

What guides your choice?

Branding.

It pulls you toward the obvious choice.

Often before you even realize it.

Business works the same way.

Plenty of companies offer the same service.

But the ones with clear, magnetic branding?

They’re chosen first. Every time.

If you want to be the “Tide” of your category

The brand that wins without shouting

Let’s talk.

For everyone else… back to your laundry pile.
